Dot NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic TLD is the single TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer code from the present domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been completed. There are no particular stipulations on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your native language.
